I love FRIENDS. I love coming to work each day and seeing each individual being treated just as that, and individual. The services FRIENDS provides to our neighbors with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities is not one size fits all. They are each cared for and have services available to them that fit their needs. I encourage you this holiday season to consider a gift to FRIENDS. Your gift will truly have an impact on the work we are doing to provide Day Programing so that people with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (I/DD) have a place to be included and have a safe and supported way to be a part of our larger community during they day. For our Social programing which provides supported social opportunities' for the Friends to be with their peers and and enjoy each others company. Our Supported Employment programs provides people with I/DD the opportunities to find and maintain jobs within our community, many having incredible longevity at their jobs one of our Participants has worked in his job with support for over 22 years!!!! Our Residential Program provides support in the home, and recognizes each person may need different housing, and those needs change as they age, FRIENDS provides this security to our participants and their families. Our Behavioral Health Program provides therapeutic services to participants providing them with skills to be safe in their community. FRIENDS is like family, and provides a vital support network to a population I am very passionate about. I appreciate you supporting me in supporting them!
